Looking to buy a 30-30 for my wife.what are some pro's and con's .and what is better brand .what kind if price range

I bought a winchester 94 ae last year for 250 with a scope. I also have a marlin 336 that i like a whole lot better than that winchester. You should be able to get a good one for less than 300

Scopes are easier to mount on Marlins.

Go with the marlin. I have the 336 that has the safety. I shot 30 or more deer with this gun the one that ran the furthest went 6 feet! I love it with the Hornady lever evolution ammo it is a incredibly performing firearm.
