Default We dont get a free ride.

This post is my own belief and opinion so take it for what its worth.... I hear people say that god does not listen, or he isn't real cause they prayed for something and it didn't happen. I have to kind of laugh sometimes cause they think God just gives you everything you ask for, like its a free ride through life. I was always taught that God guides us and provides opportunities, but he does not give us a free bus pass. We make our own choices in life and God will not stop us from making the wrong ones. God will not give you a pay raise or bring more motorcycles into my shop but if you live by his word and work hard, he will give those opportunities to you. So instead of praying for things like that we should be praying for guidance to help us figure out how to get it. Just my opinion.

Sounds like you got a good grip on things brother! He answers prayers, just not sometimes the answer we are want. GOD's will not ours!

This reminds me of a preacher years ago that said he prayed to God and God told him to raise a million $$ or he would take his life. He received 1 million in donations.

I think its comical when athletes pray to God for a win... Its like he would favor one team over the other.

Maybe he would choose an all Xtian team over an all Muslim team? I bet some on here could rationalize that!!

My experience has been that when I pray for something, it doesn't materialize but, the things, opportunities that do are much better than what I could have imagined praying for so, I have found it best just to give thanks for the most minute blessings that occur on a daily basis knowing full well where they come from. It's like Christmas every day and never knowing what the presents will be but, getting ones that are better than I could have asked for. I guess that's why he's God and I'm just me .
His gifts surpass our most extravagant wishes.

He always answers prayer. Sometimes the answer is No.
