Default "It's my life"

That was the philosophy in the period of the judges too. "Everyone did as he saw fit" (Judges 21:25). They used their own standards of morality. "it's my life," "it's my body," "it's nobody's business but my own." "As long as it's not hurting anyone else, it does not matter what a person does." God has a direct response: It matters. What we think and what we do says a lot about the One we serve.

We listened to a speaker at church the other day, and the sentiment hammered is think about your actions and to do what is right in GOD's eyes!!! It's hard to do when your human nature wants to erupt!!!!

I want to say something and can't get it to come out right in writing. I will just post a scripture that is one of my favorites and one I try to live.

Galatians 6:1 Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.

No matter who we are we all have the "it's my life" attitude at some time. "Surely that is not what that scripture says" or some other way of justifying our actions.
The Gal 6:1 scripture is powerful. "Lest thou also be tempted" is more than a warning. It is somewhat sarcastic to me. Because we will all be tempted at some point!
I can't think of any action that doesn't effect someone else in some way. God sees all!

Yep amazing isn't it. Today's attitude is almost the same as the period of the "Judges." You would think we, and when I say we I include myself, could have improved this attitude a little bit more than we have thus far. It's almost like a rerun of that period when you consider the direction this country appears to be heading. Fast.

I'm afraid were already there. Sodom and Gomorrah have nothing on this country if we continue to mock Almighty God.
