Psalms 16: 5 The Lord is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot. 6 The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places, yea, I have a goodly inheraage. 7 I will bless the Lord, who hath given me council: my reins also instruct me in the night season. 8 I have set the Lord always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.

Deuteronomy 18:21-22

21 You may say to yourselves, “How can we know when a message has not been spoken by the Lord?”
22 If what a prophet proclaims in the name of the Lord does not take place or come true, that is a message the Lord has not spoken. That prophet has spoken presumptuously, so do not be alarmed.
