Default Windy Day Speck Slaying!

So I decided to hit the water around noon yesterday despite that 15mph wind and the storm to our west. I fished an area that I'd never been to before so I was skeptical about whether it would pay off or not. When I launched I knew it was gonna be a bit sketchy out there but when I got to my actual spot I was surprised very much. The water was calm enough to fish without concern. The only issue was the wind blowing me around but the rudder on my Hobie was an easy solution to that problem! For about the first hour and a half I didn't have so much as a bite. Funny thing is that was when the peak feed was supposed to be. I pulled away from the banks and decided to troll some deeper water for a little while to see if I could find the fish that way. About 5 mins after starting to troll I hook up with specks on both my poles at the same time. One came off. I started fishing around that area and couldn't find a consistent bite. I kept moving and working other areas around me but still nothing consistent. At one point I had a few dolphins ambushing bait in about 3'-4' right in front of me which was really cool to watch. There were HUGE bait explosions caused by them and alot of wake and splashing from flipper. On the troll again I get another double hookup. After that I decided to only have 1 line out lol. I started casting in that area and I found the fish! Once I zero'd in on them the bite was on fire! I caught at LEAST 20 specks mostly 13-18" with a 20" fish being the biggest. All on a mirrolure MR-17(808) and z-man paddletails in redbone. I ended up keeping my limit and traded my 20" fish to a guy at the launch for permission to launch from his property! Now instead of a 3 mile paddle(one way) to get there I only have about 1/2 mile! All in all was a great day. I fought the wind and rain and won bigtime! And I think I have a new favorite spot

not going to ask where the spot is just wondering which waterway you were on.

No. It wasn't an "official" boat ramp but it's not like a secret launch spot or anything. I've heard other people talking about it before a few times
