Default Upper Escambia Bay 3/31

I made it on the water right after the storms on Saturday and immediately ran in to Capt. Redbeard on a flat south of the 90 bridge. We drifted aimlessly and manged to catch 15-20 specks in just a few hours. Five of them were between 15 to 18". The hot lure was a DOA shrimp under a popping cork, although a topwater lure produced a few fish and the 16" fish in the picture fell to a mirrorlure slow-sinking mullet. It may look small but I blame it on the zoom on my camera and not the size of the fish!

Oxbeast,

Yeah that was redbeard. I had never met him before but we just happened to be fishing the same area. Nice guy.
