Default Two day tourney!!

The Elks Lodge in Fort Walton Beach will be hosting their annual Big Mack fishing tourney on June 16 and 17th (Fathers Day weekend) with the Capt meeting on Fri the 15th. They have added a kayak division this year!! Entry fee is $50 with half going to the Elks charity and the rest into the the prize fund. You will be able to fish TWO DAYS. There are categories for King, Spanish, Red Snapper, Redfish and Trout with 1st thru 3rd places paying out. This is the only two day event for us yakkers in the region that I know of. Come out and have a great time. See their website for more details and rules.

UPDATE! UPDATE! The categories are King, Red Snapper, Redfish and Trout (no Spanish - my error). I have been working with one of the tourney officials and they are working to update the rules to include the second day. The east boundary will be Panama City pass and the west will be the Pensacola pass - no north/south boundaries.

This is the ONLY Kayak tourney during Snapper season.

Looks like the East / West boundaries are pretty open, so fish your favorite spot, just make it to the weigh in by 5pm. Or check out the public reefs around Destin many of them are within a mile or two from the beach and loaded with fish.

Hope to see everyone there.
