Topwater bite was pretty decent this morning 3 fat 17-18" specks a 22" red and 18" red had prolly another 10 redfish trying to eat the bait but just couldn't find the hooks also saw the biggest red I've ever seen fish was well over 50" and FAT just lazily hanging around put everything I had right in front of her but she just wouldn't eat

Love topwaters! I still get mind boggled that fish can slam a lure with a couple trebles and not get hooked!!!!!! If I walk by one it will jump out at me and hook my shirt, pants whatever! Guess it's a good thing I'm not a fish!

That always amazes me to 2-3 sets of treble hooks and they can somehow miss everyone of em

I had a guy tell me to upgrade the hooks to a #2 on a super spook jr. He said they look too big but don't worry about it. He was right. All of my topwaters now have #2 mustad triple grips because they work so well. Give 'em a try. Their at academy and aren't too expensive. I still miss some fish, but alot less without the stock hooks.
