Default Suck-ness

slow night last night, had scrounged up two keeper specks and decided a lure change was due. i put on this little lure i thought something would surely like, i specifically remember the package saying "casts like a bullet". first cast lands it on top of a 12ft piling, awesome, so i start yanking and snatching and what do you know it comes free and returns LIKE A BULLET, to my knee. Worst part was pulling the barb through sitting in front of the dock-light, couldnt believe how tough the skin was to get through. lost interest after that and went home for the de-hooking.

Rule #1.... no treble hooks in the yak while fishing at night. Heck, I hardly ever even bring J hooks.. circles only, far less likely to hook into straps, clothing, lifejacket, and skin!
