Default Specs on top water!

Greetings all,

I was hoping the rain would hold off today, and Got my wish! I was on the water by 6:30am, just in time to watch the sun rise. Water was like a sheet of glass. Perfect morning to fish. I am enjoying my new 2018 Hobie Outback (first pedal yak). so far no complaints, love it! best money I've spent feeding my fishing habit. I am trying to force myself to try new places, new techniques, lures etc. I have been fishing my whole life (25 plus years), and I have never caught a spec on top water. That changed today! I have just never taken the time to fish top water, it takes patience sometimes! I was determined to catch something on top water today, and I did. I was able to catch 3 specs all on top water. Let me tell you it is addicting! I almost want to leave the rest of my gear at home and only throw top water from now on! The recent rain has a lot of the fishing areas looking like chocolate milk, so finding some "clear-ish" water was a struggle, I logged 6 1/2 miles today in the outback trying to do so. few pics below, next item is a bull red at 3mb on top water!

Good job! That topwater blow up is what keeps me going back for more!

Top water is really fun. A bull red on top is really really fun. watching that much water move as they boil or blast and that pause as you wait to feel the rod load up to see if he actually got the plug.... addicting for sure.

Nice report, and nice job!
