Default Spec hunting success

I'm fairly new to kayak fishing and I know finding the spots means just putting time in on the water. The past few days I've been working some spots around navy point. It certainly looked the part. Finally this afternoon the hard work paid off I was on the water for about two hours and caught six specs. I was throwing matrix lures (only for the second time) on a quarter ounce jig head. Working the docks..... then Finally, Bam! After a good fight the 21" spec lost the battle (picture below). This was followed up by five more over the course of the next hour or so until it was dark, none were bigger than this one so he's the only one that got a picture taken of him! I will say that I am a matrix lure fan nowfor sure! I threw in a picture of yacht as well

Good stuff man. Thanks for the report. I'll be slinging matrix tomorrow on my very first yak trip

Its the greatest lure ever, legends are being made. Nothing comes close to the Matrix Shad. Fish literally jump in your boat when you have these tied to your pole because they know they can't resist. There are videos - on this site_ showing people catching fish in all my secret sports using the Matrix Shad. They are incredible.

You've got a good looking area to saltwater kayak fish. Wish I had as nice a place here where I fish on the upper Texas coast.

With the proper equipment (head light/stern light), you should stay out when it gets dark. Docklight fishing on a yak is deadly for specs
