Default Spanish on Friday

I went out on Friday morning for about 4 hours. My first frozen cig was quickly bitten in half. The next one convinced a really big spanish to foul hook himself. He bit me to get revenge (I was like a comedy of errors that day and made simple mistakes). I caught another spanish on a live cigar minnow, and had a big hard hit and slow run that broke off a few feet from my leader. I assume this was probably a shark and its tail or body rubbed my line. I also got two large runs from what were probably Kings, but I never boated them. I was using 30 to 40 lb wire, pink and white or mylar dusters, J hooks, and frozen and live cigar minnows. I also pulled around a large rat-l trap until I accidentally lost it (again, a comedy of errors).
