Default Simpson Pier with OxBeast & company

7 January 2012 Woke up at 0400 left house at 0500 make it to Simpson Pier at 0600 meeting with Oscar and Jeremy for some fishing.
First time to the area, very foggy, very dark, but excited none the less.
Oscar took the lead showing me the proper ways to catch fish. We did just that. Oscar must have caught 20 trout but no keepers, Jeremy came in second with at least 10 trout and one keeper. I came in last with 5 trout but had three keepers.

Oscar took us on the scenic view of the area...we must have traveled at least 10 miles; Oscar can probably give a better estimate!

When we made the circle back to the bridge, (10 miles later) we started to fish for sheephead. I did not know the proper way to catch a sheephead but Oscar was kind enough to show the way. He did land one but it too was undersize.

All in all it was a very fun day but I was very sore the next day. I do thank Jeremy and Dave (brown revo) for lifing my Pro Angler into the bed of my truck after a hard day; totally unexpected. Much appreciated!

Thank you Oscar for allowing me to accompany you but next time let's put a limit on the fishing!!

I am sorry for not having pictures of the trout but they were processed by my wife immediately upon arrival home at 4:30 pm even before I finished cleaning the kayak.

LOL keepers count more then total catch . I agree no more super long trips. I think of it as training for the gulf.
