Default The Sheeps are biting

With all this talk about sheepshead fishing I decided to meet up with a few fellow PFF members, and try our luck. We hit one of the local bridges armed with a bunch of fiddlers and went to it. They were there and biting. I found a spot and on every drop it was a fish or a lost fiddler, and I did lose a lot. The fish ranged from 10" to 16", with the average around 14". Most of them were just over slot. We probably managed at least 40 fish between us in a few hours. As a bonus, Oscar (oxbeast) hooked a nice flounder and Daxman lost a monster trout. It was a good morning but once the wind started to pick up, fishing was tough. Go get some fiddlers and find a bridge to try because the sheeps are thick.

Wow, whats going on here guys, once again im not holding any fish. Ox, i wish i would of gotten a pic of the redfish before i released him. I can definatley say its getting time for me to get a Hobie. Today I paddled my butt off just trying to keep up with you guys while Millertime enjoyed his sandwhich while he was peddling .... Chaps, Ox and Millertime, it was a great day and we caught alot of fish, but once that wind picked up, i was done for...

We need to start getting some pics of your bounty. You were the only one to get a red. I guess between us we got a grand slam, red, trout, flounder and sheep. LOL. Time to start saving your pennies for the Hobie.

Today was great. Still can't wait until I get my own though. That was pretty interesting to be able to be trolling and eating some grub while watching Dax struggle against the wind. I know paddle kayaks are great as well when there is no wind but when you stop paddling and move back down the river I think that really sells me on the peddles.

Glad you made it out fishing today. You can do better than peddles though, build one of these:
