Default Sheeps

Went to ft Pickens to try my not so great luck. Stopped by gbbt to grab some shrimp and headed that way. The Gulf looked amazing today with the strong north wind, it very tempting but kept on trucking. Got down to the end unloaded the Kayak and started fishing. Went next to the pier and with the first shrimp of the day landed a pb sheepshead. I forgot to get and exact measurement but it had to be pushing 20". What a helluva fight ramming me into pilings. Drifted around a lot and have discovered I need a longer anchor line
Had a ton of bites but like and idiot I was using a circle hook for some reason, I'm not sure why (rookie move?) So I ended the day once it started getting really bad. Caught 2 sheepshead and a Pompano.

Congrats on the PB sheep. Although I catch all my Sheeps on #4 or #6 owner circle.

I use circle hooks for sheepshead as well, I use 1/0 or 2/0 circle hooks.
