Default Saturday in the Sound

...Santa Rosa Sound.

Took the yaks out with my dad and some buddies today, looking for trout and reds. Came back with about forty mullet! A couple of us had a few hits and dad caught a flounder and a rat red...all in all, the fishing sucked. I brought out the bait net to try for some finger mullet and couldn't help but catch a handful of eaters in almost every cast...they were everywhere lol. What the little silver mullet lacked in size, they made up for in sheer numbers. Thought I had about twenty while on the water, but after an hour of cleaning, we realized it was more like forty+ lol.

Sorry, no pics. They weren't all that impressive and would've looked like bait in a photo anyways

Nonetheless...yum yum in the tum tum! Full belly tonight! Nothing like a target of opportunity to save the day and fill the cooler!

Rufus...you should've taken some with you lol. I'm fat and miserable right now and damn they were good!

Mind if I ask about where yall found the flounder? I've been craving some flat fish action, but didnt think they would be in my "secret" spots yet.

tim i thought about it but nobody else wanted to cramp you're catch, next time just tell richard that he has to take his share lol, hopefully this weekend will be better, the pinfish trap keeps filling up more, all of em are smaller than hand size most are palm size so get the circle hooks ready.
