Report from this morning, one trigger, bait everywhere
I fished in the gulf for a few hours this morning, on by 6 off by 9. There was tons of bait but I had a very hard time getting it to hit my sabiki. I even baited it with tiny pieces of bonita and only caught a few. At an artificial reef I saw multiple sharks and seaturtles and schools of lady fish and what was maybe blue fish. Its amazing how much life there is out there. Deeper out I found a massive school of hard tails (I think), tens of thousands covering a huge area. It didn't seem like there were many predator fish around, and I wonder if the problem is trying to stand out amoungst all this live bait.
I had one hit that instantly cut my bait in half but didn't find the hook. I also caught a triggerfish on my sabiki, would not have been a keeper 5 days from now, but still encouraging since I was just using my sabiki.

That’s encouraging to hear all the activity, I’m headed down to the Destin area next week and am planing to hit some of the artificial reefs depending on the weather.
