Default Reds in the Bay 9-17-2011

Haven't posted a report in a while. Took the evening off masters thesis work to chase reds and tarpon. Got 2 reds, kept one, let the big'un go. Had a 4-5ft blacktip shark eat me tarpon bait (white trout), jumped a couple times then bite me off before I could get a pic. 3 tarpon sightings for me, I think Taylor saw 3 or 4 too.

Ran into Ted and Brian on their way out. Good catching up with ya'll. See ya Wednesday!

Jack em up!!!
Alex

P.S: We had to dodge about a half dozen motorboats out there, so I ain't saying where we were at. Ya'll know where, or ask over PM cause I ain't posting locations in public anymore.

Glad to hear that it ya'll did well.

We ended up with 1 slot Red 25" and a 40"+ Bull. I let my daughter (10yr Old) fight the big one for about 20 min. She did a great job, but was tired and ready to go home shortly after.

Did get one big fat Spanish that came off the hook before I could get him secured. He smacked Arden in the back/head a few times with his tail and then came a little too close my junk with his business end. Was glad to see him flop back into the water.

Fun trip. Havent night fished in a while. Going to try to get out there more often.

Bryan,

Glad you guys came through ok. Those little toothy punks can do some damage when they go ape-nuts! Glad your little girl had fun, good on you for letting her fight with the bull!
