Default Offshore

When do the kayakers usually start heading offshore? This will be my first full summer so just trying to gauge the best times. Trying to work smarter not harder. Haha
Thanks

Best time is when its blowing 20+ knots out of the North. It will help you get out there faster

The water temp is still a little cold. One surf forecast site says that the average is 73 degrees F for this time of year, and it is currently 69 degrees F.

Winter was shorter than normal but we had quite a few stretches of brutal cold, so it's likely that the Gulf got a little colder than it has in the past.

The kings will generally show up at around 72-73 degrees, but that doesn't mean that they're not around now.

Go now. Mackerel are here, cobia and even a couple of sails already. It will only get better in the next couple of weeks though.

There are MILLIONS of spanish running the sandbar right now.
