Default No such luck

Went out this morning at the crack of dawn with a buddy, we were looking for either spanish or kings. We trolled a mix of yozuris, pink stretch 25's, a smaller lure and frozen cigar minnows on duster rigs. Also threw around some gotcha plugs and cobia jigs here and there. We went up and down the beach several times, spending our time equally at abt 40-50ft or in between the second and third sandbar.

We paddled 6 miles minimum, didnt see many signs of life. Only saw two "fishy" looking blurps on the fishfinder during the entire 6hrs. I ran into 3 other yakers who also at the time were skunked looking for cobia and mackeral.

The water was not bad once you got out there, but it was tougher getting in and out of the surf. Saw no diving birds, no bait, and only one dolphin. Slow day, but the weather was nice.. Good luck out there, might go in the morning again if Im not too sore.

That stink, such a beautiful day to catch no fish. Good luck tomorrow.

Sounds better than what I did today. Went to biology class and then sat in a doctors office for 3 hrs for a simple Rx refill...

Appreciate the report, now I know to bring some frozen bait and not get my hopes up for tomorrow. Going to give it a shot and hope that there's something hungry for cigsicles.

I'm in PCB right now with the same exact results. Very little life, little to no bait. We've trolled probably 20+ hours and so far only thing caught was a pelican. Did get into some bull reds in the bay last night though. Calm seas, Nice weather, 70 degree water, but no bait. Go figure.
