Default Night bite

Went out this morning @0430 and tried some dock lights out around Mulat bayou. The wind was decent gave me a good drift past the docks. There was some good top water action in the lights and around the edges of the docks. However I had more issues than ever before. Got snagged up three times, two bird nests with my braid, and had to dig out my reel lube from my bag. Then the wind picked up and it and I called it around 8.

Results: 2 lost specks, three lost live target shrimp, sacrificed 50yards of braid, but still had a good time fishing that area for the first time and still had a couple fish on so wasn't a waste.

Now if this wind would just calm down i would be in the gulf.

That light braid can be a bitch in the wind. Very frustrating. Since I started using Slick 8, I have more trouble with light mono than with braid.

We were down around garçon and had a tough time under the lights. They were feeding on inch long menhaden. Finally caught two specks at about 9 and wrapped it up.. We started fishing at 3
