A nice veterans day on the water
First, thanks to all who have served!
I took Capt John Rivers advice and purchased some matrix shad. I used the pink champagne color and went after some flounder. I was able to get two in the yak and had many more spit the hook when they reached the side of the yak. Still working on it but had a lot more hits. Seems the matrix works much better than the gulp. I caught the 22in red on the matrix running it along a rocky shoreline in 4ft of water. He hit it hard and fast. The larger red was on a gold spoon, in about 8ft of water and gave a real nice fight. The new bayou I tried out today was real nice, flats, grass and rocky areas. Can't wait to fish it again.
