Default Navarre Launch 8am Today

Launched out of Navarre Beach today about 8am and paddled out past the pier about 500yrs found some structure caught 1 mingo off a cig that was almost the size of him.. Seen some kings hitting a huge bait ball paddled over there had thrown out a cig over in the middle. Hooked up on one had fought it for a few minutes before I gotten cut off.. Went back to the structure.. Hooked up on a dang remora my son had a blast bringing it in.. He asked about the top of its head I explained to him what it did and how it worked.. LMAO he stuck it to his belly and stood up then proceeded to jump in to try to swim around with it stuck to his belly.. Swells started to get closer together and bigger so we came caught a wave surfed in and onto the beach. Unloaded the gear, stripped down the yak and went surfing with the yak.

Needless to say it was a very fun day with my oldest son 9yrs old..

That's cool. My daughters are so worried about getting eaten by the sharks here I could probly never get em in my yak. I take them out on my Windrider and even sitting on the tramp my youngest is worried...

I think the wind must have picked up a little more in the afternoon. I launched out of fort pickens after work about 2pm and it was a little choppy. About a mile or two out it got really choppy with some 4 to 6 footers preceding an afternoon shower. It was a little too rough for me to anchor and bottom fish.

Took a fellar out today and hit Navarre beach, launched at 0615 and off the water before 11.

Bite was slow. A few bonita, couple dink kings and a pretty decent king. Trolled my mahi candy all day with no mahi to show for it. I think all the rain and dirty water is going to push them out for awhile.
