Default Navarre Beach Memorial Day

It was a beautiful Memorial Day on the water. Spent most of the morning trolling with no luck. Water was crystal clear, and the east winds had the water rather choppy. Around 10am the winds died down and the fish showed up. Caught this nice king on a deep diver. I've been loosing a lot fish lately to dolphins, improper drag settings, etc, but today I had my act together. Turned off my FF and played this guy on 2lbs of drag for about 30 minutes and got him with my gaff yakside. Right as I brought him on board a school of 20 or so jack crevalle swam right up to the boat. I was too busy tending to my catch to try and cast to one but they were HUGE! Really cool sight to see.

You never know what you might see on the water. Nice catch.

Very nice. I heard about the suggestion to eliminate the dolphin problem by turning off the fish finder! Need to remember that.
