A Monsanto Gar

Poor thing actually seemed to be pretty well fed even though its mouth was pointing the wrong direction.

A catch is better than no catch. But that's one when it breaks the surface, you start hoping you didnt set the hook well.

Monsanto had nothing to do with that more than likely. Someone took a paddle to his bill.

That's a gar that was developed by Obama to wait under the surface and do a surprise attack. With the mouth in that direction it has an enhanced ability to thrust upward at it's prey, thus making it possible to hit a crank bait like that.
