Default Midnight under 3 mile

I work midnights so being up all night is natural. My wife and kid went to bed and I went fishing. Tide chart showed high tide around 8:30 pm and low tide around 6 am so it just seemed right. Launched at 17th ave like 11 or so and peddled out to the bridge. The water was like glass and it was quiet. I got past the drive on pier and started throwing all I had. I carry 4 rods all set up for a different spot in the water column. Low and behold it's the top water super spook jr that produces. Big bulls at midnight blowing up top water! Water is clear enough to see them under the lights. There's plenty of em. I got 4 over 30 in landed before I lost my lure to the beast. It's about 1:30 now and the water is moving and the wind is picking up so I'm out. Maybe the hot now light is on at Krispy Kreme. All in all a perfect night. Midnight under 3 mile-image-jpg

Sounds like a very good night. I may need to take up night fishing.

Good stuff man. I've been wanting to fish 3 mile for bulls in the winter for some time now but it's just too far from where I stay. Anyone know if the mid bay bridge produces like this? I'm actually closer to the 331 bridge but never had luck there.

I haven't had any luck at 331 either but there is a crapload of construction there right now. I usually put in at Portland and fish alaqua. I would be willing to hit up mid bay, I hear there are nice reds on the east side.
