Default Love My New Honeyhole!

Thanks to Google Earth, I have found a spot where I've caught 17 trout over 3.5 lbs over the last two months. This place is awesome. Funny thing is, it's no secret. There's always a handful of people and a ton of boats out there, but I never see anyone catching anything but skipjacks. Guess I'm just lucky, but I've caught more trout over slot than under in this area. Best trout fishing year ever! I finished third in the optimist club rodeo with one of four identical specks I landed in under 20 mins. It was 4.69 lbs...get this, my rodeo ticket # was 469! Anyways, here are a few pics of the gators I've been pulling out of my new honeyhole.

Mostly I look for good drop-offs directly adjacent to grass beds and/or rock jetties. Or grass beds with lots of sand spots or prop scars. Most of the gators I mentioned came off the edge of a shallow grass bed dropping down to about 6-8 feet of water.

Oxbeast, pm sent.
