Default Last day of the year at simpson river pier

Fished from 7 to 4pm today all around the bridges and river. My dad had caught a few specks, but I was getting skunked. I finally caught a rat red before dad decided to pack up the yak around 11:30. I decided to stay a while, head up river, and give my luck an opportunity to change it's mind. And change it's mind it did! Over the next four hours I caught several borderline reds, lost count of the specks (half were 15"+), and landed two of the biggest damn white trout I've ever seen. A fine way to finish out the old year.

Sorry for the lack of pics, but all fish were released and I was too busy to dig out the camera.
