Default Kings?

I am fishing the Grayton Beach/Dune Allen area. I am not getting any king bites. Is anyone catching kings off the beaches yet.

Went off Perdido Key this morning. Water still a little cool for the masses but BIG spanish all over. I had alot of short strikes, but plenty of bait around to get more livies. There were cigar minnows and little boston macks all over the place.

I havent paddled the gulf this year, but my neighbor said he paddled around dune allen on saturday morning and didn't get any strikes. Seems the kings are late showing up in numbers.

The pompano run is strong and they have been hitting in the afternoons, if you want to try some beach fishing. They are great to eat.

yes--the pomps have been killing it! Although today I haven't seen any caught--maybe starting to slow down. Are the reds or specks back up in the Point Washington area or Hogtown?

I haven't tried those areas in a while but they were in hogtown last time I looked. I'm sure they can be found on flats and the edges of deep water in the mornings.

Has the king bite picked up at all, or still pretty slow?
