Default Killer day at Jim's

I was hoping to get an early start this morning but had a late night hanging out with some family so I didn't put in until 9 and it was on from the first cast I went up the west side of the loop fishing the windward shore and from Jim's all the way to the x it was redfish mania with a few trout mixed in almost a fish every cast most reds were 17-18" fish with a couple 23-25" fish mixed in. Got to the x and decided to go a little farther up river just to sight see but ended up finding a few largemouth caught 5 11-14" fish and 1 that was barely big enough to get one of the trebles on my rattletrap in his mouth. With the wind really picking up I start working my way on around the loop caught 1 more bass over by the power lines and then I was back to redfish I caught another 4 18-20" fish and a couple small trout while taking a beating from the wind. It was probably a 2' chop In the open area before the launch final count 20+ reds 7-8 trout 7 bass

Were you in the yellow hobie as well? The wind was tough it was easily 20+ by the time I left and made for a harsh peddle back to the truck.

Yup, That was me. Yea I could feel the wind picking up so decided my ole butt was not going up to the X knowing it would be a hard peddle back. I was beat after getting back and took on hell of a nap!! LOL when i saw you catching all them fish I searched my tackle box for a crank bait and of course I had none. But had luck with the gold spoon and gulps. Hope to see ya out there again.
