Default Indian Bayou 2/2/13

Beautiful day, wind manageable. Slack tides but caught one on cal jerk bait (pearl) on 1/4 oz redhead.

Nice fish. We pretty much struck out that day down around Jim's. Few small trout, no reds.

All YOU caught was a croaker lol. I caught 7 shellcracker and a redfish...all at once lol. Man I'm good! Oh yeah...you didn't see it, but I caught a decent bass the same way, back at the launch.
(for those of you who weren't there...they were given to me by guys who didn't feel like cleaning fish...thanks guys, if you're reading)

I got to go for a couple of hours after work this afternoon. Put in at Simpsons. Caught 2 bass, one was a runt, and a nice spec. I'll try to post a picture tomorrow. Bass caught on a topwater lure and the spec on a pearl fluke, just like at Indian Bayou.

I was at the Simpson River as well on Sunday, worked south of the bridge but only got 1 trout. Very slow out there. I may have to try upriver next time...

Hey Ferd, was that you that came up and spoke to me at the kayak rigging event in GB a few weeks ago? If it was I didn't recognize you, but I got to thinking about it on the way home. I have only seen you setting in a kayak. If that was you I'm sorry I didn't take time to visit. If it wasn't you, never mind.
