Default Hurricane Lake Cinco De Mayo

A friend and I went up to Hurricane lake for Cinco De Mayo. Was there at the butt crack of dawn and didnt leave until after dusk. Saw a handful of gators. I caught 6 bass from 12-17.5" and he caught 4 or 5 from 12-16.5". We had one other friend show up while we were napping and eating mid day. He got skunked. Pretty slow day on the water from what I gathered from other anglers also.

Most excitement of the day was seeing a truck almost sink on the south west end boat ramp. Gentleman backed his trailer down jumped in to get the boat on the trailer. His young daughter jumped in the driver seat. He got the boat on the trailer and was sitting on the tailgate trying to keep it straight. Daughter must have dropped it into neutral and started revving the piss out of it as it started to slowly go deeper into water. I think he fell off the tailgate actually but he managed to jump into the truck and spin the hell out of his tires til he got out of the sticky situation. I drove the truck up the ramp for him as he was guiding it on the next time around. He was in pretty deep cause his seats were soaking wet and he had a 4wd extended cab dodge. Made for a wet ride home im sure.
