Default Hey Azevedo, I値l take 2 dozen!

I decided to do a lil bass fishing this afternoon & launched the yak w/ 1 rod, 4 soft plastics & 2 hooks @ 4:15 this afternoon. The 4 plastic baits were left in the yak I知 using and made by our very own Azevedo, cute little blue craw baits.

I let the wind blow me against thick weed beds so I could cast, nothing much happened till about 5:00.

Rigged weedless, I was tossing this thing out skipping over top of the weed mats and open holes.
You could actually see the weed mats move as bass would follow the bait till open water, then BOOM!

Bass starting blowing up on the little craw bait and I was missing fish cause I couldn稚 horse them outta the weeds. The rig I was using was set-up for specks, not the backbone needed to horse bass from weeds. Med action, 6.6ft, w/ 10# braid & 15# leader.

I lost 4 fish and landed these 2 (sorry about the photos) before all my baits were shredded, had to call it a day when the last bait was chewed up and wouldn稚 hold a hook. Back on shore at 5:30very fast action this afternoon on these football shaped bass.

So, MarkI need some of your little craw baits!!

Nice, Bruce. I see you are experiencing a wide variety of kayaks before purchasing, very smart.

Yes sir, after reading a lot of articles on yaks, this is really the only way to find out what you like and don't like about different types and brands. I'm blessed to have people who will let me borrow them for a test drive.

This weekend got a native fx12 to paddle around, floats on spit, easy to paddle, tracks pretty good, I like the elevated seat. So this will settle my desire to try a native. I don't know anyone with a hobie to loan out, so I'll have to test drive those @ dealer.

Yeah, when 4th craw was hooked up, I knew I had 1-2 more hits then I was out of the game!

And not yet on the yaks, but I'm trying out diff. ones to see what fits.
