Default Got a few in the rain Sunday

Took advantage of a little break in the rain at about 11 sunday morning. When I got to my launch site the wind was blowing pretty good and it was misting rain so i threw on my rain suit and headed out. The water was stained, it looked like weak coffee. I could see alot of rain coming down across the bay so I didn't go very far. Started off throwing a topwater popper and got one blow up and nothing else for a while. So I switched baits and started fishing a slightly deeper area. I saw something hit the top of the water and made a cast to it and instantly hooked up on a little 17in. Speck. I caught a few more around the same spot then moved on. Saw a pile of mullet so I threw into them let it sink, hopped along the bottom a few times. On the next hop the line went tight and I set the hook on a nice slot red. After that I fished for a little longer with no bites. I was satisfied with my red so I decided to leave and went home with my catch.

I like the original donut spot on the tail. I don't think I've ever seen a spot like that

Nothing personal, but that is the most hideous looking plastic bait I've ever seen. What is it, and where can I buy one?

Nice red! We also had a lot of luck in the rain Sunday. For such a lousy day, it turned out not to be lousy at all . . .
