A couple of days ago I took my kayak out in search of Mangrove Snapper, and any other species of inshore saltwater fish that I can catch. I started off using live bait, but after about an hour with no luck, I decided I needed to change tactics. I switched to a lure called the Rapala X-Rap Twitching Mullet and started throwing it off of rock ledges and around docks. After about 20-30 minutes of throwing it, I had a massive bite and the fight was on. Ended up catching my Personal Best Speckled Trout at a whopping 27 inches long. This fish made the trip worthwhile after all. Anyways, Good luck to anyone fishing this weekend (if it doesn’t rain lol) here’s a video of the trip if any of y’all wanna check it out above.
