Default Foggy Surprise!!

Debated on going to Simpson, Mulat, or Blackwater this morning over a cup of coffee at 4:30 am. Decided on Blackwater. I already had three keeper specks on the stringer and was working a point near the channel trying to get more when all heck broke loose. All was quiet and calm in the fog when 10 feet away dolphins broke the surface in a feeding frenzy!! The first thing was Holy [email protected] what the?? then it was a frantic race for the stringer to pull 'em out of the water. They chased the same school i was working for quite a bit, sometimes getting a bit close for comfort. Good thing the kayak has that self bailing thing going on. My spot of the river got a little warmer. Sorry no pics...

Have a great New Year....tight lines the next year for all.

Ox- Looked like we should have gone with Plan A. I still had a great time and look forward to getting on the water again. Thanks for showing me the ropes!

I was by myself for quite awhile..then it seemed like everyone who had a boat was on the river once the fog disappeared. Brought the specks home. The kids had some friends over and they all wanted fish for lunch. 6:45 on the water, in the truck by 11:30, fish in the pan by 1:00. Fresh fish gone by 1:30. Happy family. Great way to end the year.

for a cheap alternative to the stringer, try a soft cooler bag with ice. I got mine at Sams for like 15$ it's made by California innovations.
