Talking First Red and Great Start of a Fathers Day

Well I did it.. What a cool Fathers Day gift.. lol.. Came home from work to find my kayak loaded up and everything ready to go..Wife and kids bought me a fish finder that she had already put on the kayak(simply amazed with that alone) Then I was asked where I wanted to go fishing at.. Well I was dropped off at Floridatown. Paddled out for a few minutes playing with the fish finder. Ended up seeing about a 10' gator on the bank(that was crazy) then finally found some root structure, tied a gulp shrimp with a small red jig head. Flipped out and BAM! fish on, it was crazy.. then went up a few 100yds up and BAM another red.. Limited out on the 1st red but the others were all about the same size.. Ill be back later on today.. It was def worth the wait.. Ended up with this red was 22.5inches and tasted great pan fried with banana pepper, red and orange peppers and a little blacked dusting.. with some good ole cheese grits.
What a great was to end the day.

To all the fathers out there: HAPPY FATHERS DAY

I wasn't sure about the limit. I looked on the side of the KAYAK where I have a fwc sticker and it said limit 1. I'm guessing it has to be out dated. Wander what else is wrong. Going.to get on the fwc site check it out. I have always fished in the gulf and the other day was the first day I went and fished in the bay. For reds.. its always been giging flounder or catching trout on some dock lights or lady fish sending them down for some shark bait.
