Default First offshore fish

My family came over for the week and is staying down at the beach. My girlfriend came along and we decided to go out trolling yesterday morning in the divorce yak (tandem). Any good boyfriend would put her on a small Spanish first to get her used to fishing in a kayak, unfortunately I'm not that good of a boyfriend so we started out with a double on 25-30lb jack crevalles. I think my mono got wrapped up on the tail and that one broke off pretty quick, which was Good because that allowed me to help her through the 55 min fight. There's no telling how long the fight would have lasted in a single because that fish would not give up. I was paddling backwards to give resistance and then running forwards to gain line back. We finally got it boatside, snapped a few pics, then drug it along to recover and sent it on its way.

That was the only fish of the day but we were both too tired to keep going after that. The waters pretty murky still over in orange beach, but it looked nicer in gulf shores last week.
