Default First non-rainy day

Hit the water this morning in Shalimar. I used a UNFAIR LURE Shrimp under a popping cork...no luck; tried a Bomber Who Dat spoon...no luck;used a Martix and caught two nice flounders. The water was pretty clear even though we have had a lot of rain and water temp was 60 degrees. Overall, it's good to be on the water fishing again.

Way to get out in tough conditions and get it done.

But you are joking about the bait, right? I heard those Matrix shad won't catch a thing?

I've been using them all summer. Good on spec and flounder and reds. My favorite is the pink champagne. Plan on hitting the water tomorrow, we'll see if they work again. Going to also try a UNFAIR LURE 70mm mullet.

Flounder is my favorite fish to target. Specks and reds are my second and third choices.

Thanks for posting the photos of your flounder.

I was a hard plastic lure guy for many years... only recently (2015) have I tried Matrix... and I was pleasantly surprised. Days when my lures weren't getting hit, often times a Matrix would produce something. In fact, I caught more flounder this year than any other year I can remember and only a couple were on hard plastics.
