Default First King

Launched at pickens this morning, surf absolutely sucked.Went to 3 barges caught a big bonita, got broke off 7 or 8 times and caught 1 king. How do you cook a king? I do not havea smoker and everyone talks about smoking them. What other ways are there to prepare them?

Nice king! I like frying mine. Grilling over charcoal is great too!

I smoked mine yestrday and made king dip today. its tasty. You could probably smoke them on wood charcoal with a few wood chips on top charcoal. That would probably work. doesnt take long to smoke fish.

I ended up boiling it for 20 minutes and adding liquid smoke to it. Made a very tasty dip!

Nice! I've only had it fried. I'll have to try that when/if I get one.
