Default Finally got offshore!!!

The weather finaly gave Fisherdad1 and myself a window to get offshore! The target was flounder. We definitely didn't have a JD7.62 day, but we were the only ones landing any out of the floatila of boats. Fisherdad1 had a couple and one was a beast. We both landed a few Mingos and I caught my first sea bass. We ended the day finding a school of Bulls on the reef. I've never fought a bull with the drag locked down before, and let me say, they earned their name. NO TRIGGERS TO BE FOUND! Has anyone had sea bass ceviche?

I've never been more then 2 1\2 miles offshore. The Mingos were nothing to brag about, but the we're bigger then the million I caught on the edge on a diesel sport fisher.

Nice variety! Never had sea bass ceviche but I can't see where it would be bad. I love eating those little buggers

Sea Bass is just about as good as it gets for eating. I caught a ton on the jetties at McCree one day, had never seen one here before that and haven't seen a single one since.

A nice mixed bag of fish species. Where I fish in Texas in our bay systems, the flounder is the fish I target the most.

Thanks for sharing.

I caught several of those Black Sea bass on the Ono island inshore reef during the cold season.
