Default early morning inshore slam(topwater)

me and chaps(john) got out at about 6 this morning and i immeatitely started throwing the tog dog, one taker and swing and a miss.... damn, john gets out there and throws his first cast and hooks up on a decent 25in red on topwater and while hes fighting that one, his live bait rod goes off,,, super funny to watch him fight two slot reds at a time. anywho, i switch to a smaller mirrolure topwater red and white and first cast produces a 18in trout, sweet first trout on topwater... put a bull minnow out and that produced a 17in red right away.. rest of the morning goes by quiet except for the rat red here and there on the top dog... so all i need is a flounder to get my 3d slam ever on the yak, sooooo i start huntin for em,,, and boy did i find me one, my biggest flounder yet hook and line, ive gigged some monsters and a 7lb one in a cast net once a while back, this one was 19in even, 4 in bigger than my biggest one in the yak,,, so i got my slam... but right before that flounder i hooked a redfish that could eat a upper slot red.. must have fought the fish for 30min before the hook pulled when it got wrapped around a piling, oh well. enjoy the pics. especially the one of the 6in red that hit a 5in lure haha

Another great morning on the water for us. We started off with a decent top water bite, but unfortunately it ended fairly quicky, unlike last weekend. There didn't seem to be as much bait around and the water was cloudy. I ended up with 4 lower slot reds and a 25 inch red but missed quite a few smaller ones and one really big red. There were also a few schools of smaller lady fish around. I am really loving the top water and watching the fish "blow up" on the plug. Josh managed the only flounder today which he so graceously donated to me for lunch.
