Default Chico with Millertime

Well, I just had to get outa the house and fish, even if it was only for 3 hours. I picked up a new Yo-Zuri crystal shrimp and met Brandon and off we went to fish. First cast with a Z-man Streakz shad on a weighted seedless hook landed a nice slot red. What followed was a Bluefish and 5 specks, three of which were keeper size on the yo-zuri shrimp. All fish were released to grow bigger. Thanks Millertime for making the drive.

Nice fish. Where did you get the Yozuri's? I have heard great things about them and I really want to try them out. I have a BPS gift certificate burning a hole on my wallet.

Glad you made it out. Wish I could have made it. I'm interested to hear how you liked the Yozuri Shrimp as well.

The shrimp was awesome. I'll have to look and see if it was a sinking. I got it from Dizzy Lizzy's, he has already sold out of them once already. Steve chose that color for me because I was going to be fishing dock lights and it seemed to work pretty well. I think what I like the best is the hook on the tail so no more fish nipping at the bait. The Lip isn't too big and the actual look of the bait is very real. It also has a rattle inside. I had a nice 17 inch speck hit it as well as a 5 incher, (smallest speck I've caught) Plus the blue fish hit it. I don't know what sizes they come in, but I bet a nice sinking big one would be killer for reds at 3MB. This one isn't a floater, but a suspending one so a few twitches was all it took to get those lurking specks to come up and strike from the shadows. I'll be adding more to my tackle bag for sure!

Here it is! The thread I was looking for. If any body hasn't seen it yet, WalMart has the YoZuri Crystal Shrimp for $13 and plenty of 'em.

Ardiemus, found bull reds on Bayou Grande today just north of the airfeild on the second bend moving from east to west. We put in dead between between that hidden tide pond you were catching the specs in last spring and the wooden suspension bridge to nowhere.
