Hit up Oyster Pile around 4p and headed South in search of specks. Fished til 8 or so and only ended up with a short, but beautiful red.
The plan was to fish a MR17 and the suspending jerkbait in the pic. in a variety of depths until I found the bite. The red came off of a nice dropoff from 2' - 9', but couldn't find anything else after that. Once it got dark fished a few dock lights.
You guys think they're already further up or did I just not have my toes crossed right?

Beautiful red with very distinctive and large spots in your photo. At least you caught one fish which is better than not catching any fish at all. Some trips turn out to be tough finding fish.
Thanks for sharing your photo.
