Default Bulls in da Bay

Had a great time taking a newbie youngster out to chase some Bulls today. Was a little worried with the tides not looking great, but we decided to give it a shot and were rewarded nicely! This was his first time in a kayak, and his biggest fish up to this was a "3lb or so Grouper"...think we surpassed that one! Fish were caught on 7" Hogy Lures Shaker tails and Bomber Super Pogy lures.

Nice report, thanks for the bait info. You are one of the only people that I know, around here, that uses Hogys. Great bait. Great catch. Good looking young man you got there.

Good to have a son to get out there and spend time with you and help with the heavy lifting, etc..

And all this time, I thought Brandon Barton was your son...............just joking, BB.

LOVE my Hogys! Very versatile lure!

But just for the record this isn't my son either! Mine is only 4. This is a young man I just recently met...seems he got into some trouble in school while living with his dad in NC and moved down here to live with Mom and step-dad. Still not sure of the whole story, but his Mom had asked me if I would take him out kayak fishing and maybe "mentor" him a little. Not sure how the whole mentorship thing is going to work out yet, but this was a good start!
