Default Broke in My New Yak

I got a used OK Scrambler this weekend from a family friend that runs a rental. I put in at little lagoon pass around 5 and got 1 short trout. I was throwing a blue MR17 and got a hit on the first cast and caught him on the second. I thought I was going to be in for a great afternoon, but that was the last strike on the mirrolure. I got a few more bites on a matrix shad but didn't get anything. I still haven't caught anything on the matrix shad but I hear enough good things about it that I keep trying.

I'm new to the area, so if anyone else in the gulf shores area is looking for a kayak buddy hit me up. I'm usually available in the afternoons to fish for a few hours.

Keep it'll hook something on them matrix. Adjust your retrieval to various ways and you'll get one. MR's are always a great lure though!!!
