Well I had a few hours this morning, so despite the chill I launched at my local marina, at the bottom end of Rocky Bayou. I decided to go across the bayou, towards the base and see what was going on the grass beds. Water temp was 45 degrees, but once the sun hit the water it started climbing. With the cold water and the cold breeze, I didn't stay out too long. I spooked my fish than I've caught since I've been here, including a pod of 6-7 slot reds. So long story short, the flats and grass beds are going to light up soon, I think. I hope anyway. I'm sure the action will pick up as the temp rises Friday. Go get em folks!
