Default Blackwater Saturday

Did pretty well saturday morning fishing topwater. Boated five reds and two trout. Biggest trout was 23" and redfish were 27, 24, and three smaller I didn't measure. Caught a lady fish too for whatever that's worth. It was a pretty good morning in that area for this time of year.

Skitterwalk, for the first time. I usually use a spook, but was really happy with how this one did. If it weren't for all the floating grass catching on the hooks, I'm sure it would have caught several more fish.

Ox and I are going to go out in the morning and hopefully get the rest of the paint knocked off of it.

Great job man!

When the floating grass is real thick I like to switch to a big plastic like a zoom fluke with an offset weedless hook. Gets the job down almost as well, just doesn't make as much noise.
