I started out in my yak at 6:45 am with an air temp of 30. 1st fish of the day was a 13 inch largemouth in the Yellow river cut. I then paddled to Yellow River and on to the bay. The tide was extremely low, so much so, that I had to get out multiple times and walk kayak (I really didn't feel like going way away from shore. Next fish was a 20-inch red on a drop-off on edge of flat. I finally found the trout just south of the mouth of Weaver. I was using a suspending jerk bait and caught 8 under slot in the 1st 20 minutes. I then followed the shoreline east and found 14 more, with 4 keepers (largest 18-inches). I also ended up catching another red about 18-inches. I'm sorry no pictures, but I have a flip phone-believe me or not. All I can say is I had a blast and I paddled much farther than I thought.
