Default Archie Glover dock lights

Tried Archie Glover at night for the first time tonight. Launched about 8:30, made the short trip to the closest dock lights. When I got there, something was chasing bait on top of the water. 1st cast, with a Gulp shrimp, 14 inch Red, back he goes. Next cast, the smaller of the two reds in the picture, 23 inches. Switched to rat-l-trap, another undersized red. Next cast, a 16 inch Spec. a few casts later I hook up on the 27 inch red. Then a few more undersized reds. I decided to try one of the canals around the corner. Nada in about 15 minutes. Back to the first place. The Reds and others had moved on I guess, Tried for another 15 minutes or so, then decided I had enough of the bugs. Last cast, an 18 inch striper as a going away present. Home, kayak and equipment cleaned and put away, fish cleaned and in the freezer by 10:30. All in all a good night.

Awesome! I fished those lights all through high school. Always produced Reds and Specs for me. Be careful around some of the narrow canals at night. Shine a spot light at the edge of the waterline around the grass and tell me how many pairs of orange eyes you see. Just be aware that they are around. The train trussel around the corner is usually a good spot too. Might try it Thursday night.
